wheels badly rubbing on rear (no money need them to work)
 

Hey, after my accident my wheels are buckled and i need to use my car. my wheels rub over little bumps in road.



Stock

Tire Rim Bolt pattern CB

175/70/R13 5x13 ET46 4x100 54.1



aftermarket

195/55/R15 8x15 ET35 4x100 54.1



any ideas what i can do.



The Sport uk Verson MVI had 6.5 Alloys but ET was 38.



ideal i need at least 20mm Spacers but I'll hit my outer wheel arch.



would it be safe to run OEM on rear ?

Get spacers and add negative camber to keep them from the fender.

Really, without seeing it and knowing where it's rubbing and why, it's hard to provide a solution.

Figure out where it's rubbing and why. Something probably needs hammered out of the way. There isn't a lot of extra room for an 8" wide wheel, but I've fit a 225/45/15 on an 8" wheel inside my fenders with 2.5" of ground clearance so I'm betting whatever's in the way can be cut out or beat into submission.

iv rolled my wheel arch's in the past and they are still really close.

hey mate. Am i right in thinking ur Mazda as the same Wheel PCB/Offset and ET to a Hyundai accent LC ? Because a set of Hub supported spacers are cheap on ebay.

I have a set of lowering Springs i haven't fitted on the rear yet (iv fitted the front)



i was wondering if a stiffer spring rate would stop the rubbing.



will 10mm spacer overlip the Hub ? So my alloy will only be supported by the bolts cause i don't want that.

Yeah, I run stock NB Miata wheels on the Accents pretty regularly with no issues, so a Miata spacer should work fine.



A stiffer spring rate will help, but lowering it will make it worse. It depends on how much stiffer and how much it lowers the car whether or not the stiffer spring rate will make up for the closer clearances.



Going from memory a 10mm spacer will be pretty close to the height of the hub, although I don't know what the actual measurement is.

Hey guy's Well i had a good look today.



The rubbing is not on the inside of the wheel (atleast 20mm Spare)



The wheel is hitting the rear acrh (because it tearing the tyre on the edge) (so sadly spacers will only make this worse)





I'v ringed around and cheapest arch rolling job is $80 and i cant afford it. Is it safe to use the baseball bat/Metal bar way ?

Had a good luck today mate. Spacers aren't needed. My wheels are about 10mm too wide on the outta lip (So i need to roll it)
