Serious question about rear strut bar!!!

I'm not a expert in this subject, but I was thinking that the only way it could cause damage or actually bend the bar is when someone hits you from the side. I'd think that the bar would break at its joints before it hurt anyone or at least bend, but in the opposite direction because of the back of the seats it rests on. You shouldn't really worry, if you do get hit from the sides, the people in the back have more things to worry about than a strut bar.

I would agree with Decker. I seriously doubt that the strut bar would move, and if you got hit hard enough to break one of the strut bar bolts, or to bend the bar itself...you got bigger problems than the bar!

Also not an expert but if anything I think
it would give more strength to the frame in
a side impact.
It would take one hell of a wreck to brake
that thing, so again if it brakes you would
be in serious trouble if you have it or not.
