I posted this up on CH last night but i was wondering if anybody here wanted to go in on a group buy for canuck motorsports lowering springs. They drop the rd about 1.75"(but i've read a few times it's more like 2" when the settle).
I was going to order mine soon but if i can get some intrest i'll more then likely call them up to see what kind of group buy price we could get.
If you'd like to go in on it just post something here and i'llstart making up a list.

You might get more interest if you posted up things like, oh, I dunno, maybe prices or a link or something?

JDN902 02-09-2010 08:26 PM

i haven't contacted them yet about a group buy price because i'd like to see if there's any intrest yet as far as links go their website is pretty slack haha. but it's
www.canuckmotorsports.com
as far as examples of the drop
http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2455316/5
http://www.msprotege.com/forum/showthread.php?t=112358

i have a few more just ask and i can post.
prices as far as tibs go is $133 USD(like $146 Can)
if you're a canadian looking for some springs, these are in Vancouver so we don't get hit with a boarder tax, which to me is a big plus. The price there is thier sites listed price,i'd be hoping with enough intrest we could get that price down a little.
The springs are made by a company called RMW industries and from what i've read the supply spring to sprint and eibach as well. The springs are 10-15% stronger then oem.

Hopefully that helps get some more intrest, from the sounds of what i've been reading these are great springs for a great price.

Never heard of them.

RDTiburon 02-09-2010 10:15 PM

I heard they are junk. When I contacted CM they told me the springs were not even powdercoated.

JDN902 02-10-2010 04:43 AM

^^^

if you had looked at the links, in the progete forum there's pictures of the springs installed...they're red so they're obviously coated.
As far as quality i'll quote something from another forum

"I would like to hear anyone who has actually these springs installed complain about them!!
I have \'em, and I love \'em. Not just for looks, but for performance as well.

How could they perform poorly? They are springs that are lower and 15% firmer than stock, so the effects are obvious, slightly more firm, and the lower center of gravity!!"

theres a lot more to things than simply saying they are lower and firmer, I can cut a coil off my stalkers and they'll be lower, I can block them and they'll be firmer, that doesnt make them performance springs. Im not saying they are good or bad, just that its complicated.

JDN902 02-10-2010 12:38 PM

^^^^

I know it's more complicated then that,I'm not saying these springs are pure performance springs because they're not. They offer a good drop for looks with some mild performance gains. It may only be a slight bit but you're paying under $200 shipped to your door. Not everybody(me for example) is going to go out autocrossing(mainly because where i live its not an option).

REDZMAN 02-10-2010 10:06 PM

Paying under $200 for cheap no name parts doesn't mean it is a good deal man.

And just because they are red doesn't mean they are powdercoated, they could be painted, or the owner may have powdercoated them.

You'll find no one here, I can almost 100% guarantee, that have them installed.

Did some searching on Google, and all the threads about them are almost identical to this. Those with them installed, in most cases at least, love them.

save some more money and get some eibach or h&r springs....

eibach 1.3 front and 1.2 in rear

h&r 1.6 front and 1.5 rear...
