Metal.
Hyundai uses Semi-Metalic Brake pads. The metal on metal contact causes them to squeal untill the brake pads get up to tempature. Usually about 2 or 3 applications.
The only fix is to replace the Semi-Metalic pads with another type of pad.

does that apply to drum brakes too, 'cause those bastards make a horried noise in the mornings when I CREEP down the driveway and onto the street so the front of my car don't hit the street. tongue.gif

HyundaiPower. I have no idea if the drums use semi-metalic or not. I'm just guessing here, but I would say if you are hearing a grinding when cold...that could be the ticket.
In my experience though...drum shoes are never metalic or semi-metalic...but I have not played with drum brakes in 10 years.

How much for that service? I will be bringing my Tiburon to your dealership when I arrive on island the end of July. I still get the squeal every so often.
