So I just got my new rotors, pads, and s/s brake lines in yesterday.

I'm having them installed at the dealership as I do not have any of my tools here in Texas.

I'm kind of mad at myself right now because I ordered off-brand s/s brake lines from ebay for $80, and I just saw daniel depetro had some BF goodridge ones for $75 mad.gif

Anyway, the rotors are R1 Concepts. Pads are Centric Parts. I got them for $220 as a set(4 rotors and 4 sets of pads).

The s/s brake lines are from some random Canadian company.

Here is the loaner car I got while the tibs in the shop. Gobs and gobs of Beta 2 power!! lmao.gif lmao.gif lmao.gif

It's a very decent car but first of all, the suspension is waaaaaaaaaay to soft, I feel like the car is going to tip over when turning. laugh.gif

Also I found out I'm very bad at driving an automatic transmission. I almost got rear-ended when I mistook the brake pedal for the clutch lmao.gif

Sorry I was the guy that bought the Goodridge brake lines. I am surprised that no one else jumped on them, they were for sale for awhile! What you have purchased looks good, I would make sure that those brake lines aren't the same ones that some members had problems with leaks. I think they did come out of Canada, I think Red has more info about those.

not to cause a fuss or hassle, but keep an eye on those brake lines. the way they're made from the pics, they can have problems. alla the original blue tabbed kits gb here long ago.

Grrrrr... So the hyundai tech called on Friday. He said my calipers were on the verge of failure due to rust and that I needed new ones(entirely possible as their is more salt than asphalt on the roads in Iowa during winter).

If I had known this I would have just went with the XG350 BBK. Luckily I was able to find some re-manufactured calipers for $47 each.

But I still don't get my car back until Monday, and I really wanted to use the weekend to break the rotors and pads in. mad.gif

Thanks guys. I will definitely be keeping a close eye on them. If they do fail I think I will replace them with the Goodridge ones.
