Hey Guys

I have read the site and used the search feature for a few days. I even went back and read over 20 pages in the Brakes, Wheels, Tires, and Suspension section.

My simple question is which lowering springs have you guys had the best luck with?

Almost everyone on here has Eibachs but I read that a few people say H&R is better etc...I am going with your suggestions here since I have access to Eibach, H&R, Intrax, B&G, Sprint and Suspension Techniques so I don't really have a preference to any brand.

This is my daily driver so I want a spring that will last a long time and ride smooth. How low can a Tiburon be lowered and still have a decent ride?

Any help is greatly appreciated

Eibach and H&R are going to be your best bet as far as springs go but thats only half the battle. you will also need to get new struts if you want your ride quality good for a decent amount of time. many people on this site use the kyb gr2 with good results. i thing kyb has the agx line for our cars aswell so if money isnt much of an issue i would look into those as an option.

It may also be worth looking into some coilovers that way you have good adjustability as far as ride quality and they will perform better than just a spring and strut application.

i personally have kyb gr-2 and eibach lowering springs and love them...

but if I did it different i would have add a 150 more and gotten the H&R sport cup suspension kit lowers the front 2.0 and back 1.75...

or I would have gotten H&R tourning cup and it lowers the front 1.6 and rear 1.5...

I have the eibach with the agx kyb struts..a little stiffer than stock on the lowest setting but you can make it stiffer or softer with 4 dampening settings. The ride isnt too low either if you have body kit or plan on getting one and still makes the car set nice.

I would personally like to be a little lower but you may sacrafice the ride quality idk.

I dont know how much stiffer the h&r springs really are. If you need a picture of my setup let me know..

I have Vogtland springs and KYB Struts and I love them.

I payed around $400 shipped on Ebay.

Vogtland springs are made in Germany and are VERY popular on the BMW and Mercedes tuner crowd.

the ride quality is awesome, it's a bit stiffer than stock but not bouncy, it's how is supposed to be.

I still want to lower the car some more. I think B&G have the perfect drop (at least for my taste) but I'm afraid I may not like the ride quality.

I think that zoned and I are the only ones that run the KYB AGX struts w/ the eibach pro spring kit. the AGX's are 4 way adjustable, 1 being the softest setting to 4 being the stiffest, i have mine set on 3 and i think zoned told me he has his set on 2.

its more of a personal choice for the stiffness settings but with me it actually got me to like riding in the tibby leather seats. i hated them with oem springs and struts, add little stiffness and bang...rides great.

I will also note that I have kjb motorsports sway bar end links that are set for basically no travel also. car corners great, hugs the curves unlike before, and one of my fave mods i have done to my car.

my car also rides on 17x 7.5"s rims with a 45 offset and 205/40/17 hankook k 106 tires, no rubbing issues whatsoever. best thingis also i have about 7 inches of clearance still in the front under the bumper, but it is kinda hard to get a regular 3 ton jack underneath the front to jack the car up.

The eibach are really good springs and so are the B&G. I have eibach on the front and b&g on the rear. The only problem with the b&g springs is the rear springs are almost too short for the strut; the eibach sit about .5" taller unsprung than the b&g. All i can say is they are way better than stock.
