Hyundai trying to F*** Me Big time.

I'm getting my car ready for it's inspection.

I noticed my drivers side caliper slider pin dust rudder/Cover had a little split.

Few bucks too replace right ?

Spoke to hyundai, They said they can help me out and few other parts may need to be payed for. (I was expecting like the slide pin and the other rubbers so i agreed)

I got there, They wanted me to buy the whole Brake caliper costing over $450.

They said it can't be sold like i requested.

SO can someone help me find where i can buy them :( i can only find the mando Parts. Mine is a different brand.

you need a boot and slider kit? got mine from rock auto for $9 a couple years ago

Antonyr123 05-04-2013 09:28 AM

i tryed. none listed for 1.3 SOHC

They only seem to list the Caliper Brand Manco. There sightly bigger rubbers causing the greese to leak out of mine :(.

Antonyr123 05-05-2013 01:37 AM

no one can help me then ?

If you just need the rubber for the caliper slider, just take one you have to an auto parts store and tell them your problem. I'm sure they can find a replacement for you. You seem to be making a big deal out of a small/simple problem.

im like 80% sure hyundai's use the same exact rubber boots on all vehicles

buy one from a more common hyundai (like the elantra) and see if it works

your making a mountain out of a molehill

Antonyr123 05-05-2013 02:10 PM

You know what pissed me off.

People keep acting like im from there country.

I'v spoke to 6 Autoshops that keep telling me its Dealer only Parts. hell if u want i'll give u there number and you can ask them your selfs.

The only thing i can do is pay extra 75 dollors and get it from aboard.

Nope. Elantra use 5818029a40/ 5819029a40 Casted Calipers like the Coupe in uk. There bushes are bigger.

The only bushes that fit my caliper casting are the matrix 2001+

Ebay- (ships worldwide) http://www.ebay.com/itm/5810228B00-H...b712b1&vxp=mtr

a quick google search found this place in the UK. They seem to stock everything.

http://www.brakepartssuperstore.org.uk/index.html

if neither of those places have the right part (I'm 99% sure they do), google BRAKE SEAL KIT for your car. It can't be THAT hard to find. I have a project car, there are less than 200 of these cars in existence, if I can find parts for THAT, you can find a simple part for a Hyundai Accent.

or just look for the parts on a used car mayne
