Default Finalizing my Wheel choice -- Opinions on Scorchers and fitting 17x7.5

Okay...thanks to all for you help in choosing the right wheels and tires for my car. I have done many searches on site and have received many answers I was looking for.
The final wheels are the Motegi MR12 17x7.5 with a 40 offset. Now I am not going have trouble fitting tires will I?

The messages I have been reading indicate that this is negative especially if I put on the tires of choice: 205/40 R17. My initial plan was to install BFG Red Scorchers but upon my browsing, I discovered many of you don't like these tires. Why? What's wrong with them? What other tires would you recomend for this wheel?

Kuhmo is a great brand, great price, there is another thread a few down on tires, the scorchers are decent tires, if u dont like to get them wet, the redish rubber is only red for about 2 days untill you clean it, by burning out in soapy water

Yeah...reading articles on this site on Scorchers, complaints varied from their lack of good rain use to an ultra-stiff ride to the fact that most of the cost is on the novelty. So...any other recomendations?

I used to have scorchers on my civic. worst tire ever. First off I had to take them to three diff places to get installed because there was no give in the side wall at all. They are horrible in rain and are so stiff it's like driving on plastic wheels. Keeping the color isn't that hard. But IMO and your best interest don't get them. They are good for show but that's it.
