Default Coilover cleaning

Hi guys,

I was wondering if it would be ok to use a power/jet wash to give my coil overs a good clean? I am concerned pushing dirt somewhere where its not suppose to be but if other people do this time and time again without any issue I could just be over thinking.

I'm not sure what it would hurt. I know someone who took them off his car and washed them in the bathtub when he was shipping them to someone else.
