Alright, so my car is making a new noise - if the noise of the muffler with a tiny hole in it isn't loud enough, now when I break at low speeds, I hear this aweful, grinding noies coming from the back left... wheel?

It starts grinding when I start breaking, but only under like 40kms/h... and it sometimes still makes the noise if I hit the gas for a few seconds. Ugh...

Anyone had this problem before? If so, what is it? And how do I fix it? And how much will it cost me? lol

sounds like you might need new pads. You can get a full set of pads and new rotors on e-bay for like $120

probably need new pads. check your rotor wear. if you keep driving on this "grinding" noise, it might be too late and you might need a new caliper. new caliper is some $200+. if you're getting new pads just buy a set of four.

HKC shops in the world of make believe. Replaced my drivers side rear caliper over the weekend. 64 bucks. Rear rotor will be around 27 and the pads about 25ish.

Do yourself a favor if you replace the caliper and take off your bleeder screw cover, and remove the bracket the e brake cable attaches to. Re mfg'ed calipers do not come with these.

Oh and by the way get a brake tool if your doing rears. you need to screw the piston back in place not compress it. Its a little square box you put at the end of your socket.
