brakes!

Oh man... what the hell is up with my brakes? I know this is a repeat question but I just wanted something to talk about... I have 60k miles on my lantra and havent changed the brakes yet since DAY1... I checked the pads and they still have lots of material on it... looks like the rotors are fine too... BOTH SIDES. question is: should I change the pads and machine the rotors? it seems that hard braking at high speeds, the car has minor vibrations. Just wondering~any help appreciated

You might need to reface your rotors. Don't worry, I share your pain. I experience this also in our other Elantra.

hyundai stock rotors have a tendancy to warp. But the brake pad compound lasts and lasts and lasts.

If you can afford it, upgrade the rotors to NON-OEM, and the vibration should dissapear. Otherwise, just have the rotors turned, and the vibration will stop...till they warp again.

I also have the same problem. Is there anyone who makes a decent rotor that isn't going to set me back two hundred and some dollars. I'm talking a somewhat better than stock but not the cross drilled, vented all out performance rotor.

I have yet to hear any complain about the KVR units or the brembo units.
