I picked this up last Saturday for 10k, it's a 1989 E30 BMW 325i S with a Nissan SR20DET conversion. Currently the motor is all stock running 6psi, it's controlled by a Microtech LT-10 standalone ECU. The previous owner claimed it made 150rwKW(200rwHP) when it was being tuned. In it's current state it's extremely fun to drive, I love it. It's been in and out of my mechanics shop improving areas of the conversion that I thought weren't up to scratch, hopefully soon I'll have it in getting my Turbosmart 'Eboost' boost controller installed and I'll bump the boost up to 10psi. Suspension is also on the way, along with some nicer wheels and tyres.

NICE!!

that sits in there well.. not even cranked over on the side like most bimmer engines are.

May have to consider that in my 318ti

It's all legal, Engineered and street registered. I can't wait to get the Eboost in there and turn up the wick.

Mad machine: There was a guy in Hot4's magazine that put a 'Black top' SR20DET in an E36 318i coupe, too bad it was a huge bling-mobile, still went pretty quick.

man that car looks nice. but dont forget the tib now. lol

nice car mate fing02.gif Those are pretty nice engines! Now do that engine another swap....into the tibby lol laugh.gif

The Tibby is not being forgotten, it's my daily driver now. I was thinking of selling it, but I can't bear to part with it. I'm considering a Beta II swap in the future as the original Beta is hitting the 220,000 kilometre mark and it's eating oil like a fat kid on cake.

At the moment the BMW is the weekend/track day warrior, I don't want to drive it too much as I will get used to the power and start wanting more. It's nice jumping out of the tibby that has a nice pull for a N/A 4, then jump into the Beemer and get that mid-range kick from a turbo, it's really intoxicating.

I never knew you could even do that wit a bmw, I had a 325 for a little bit then the headgasket went wish I would have knew this back then!
