Megasquirt Issues 2: Electric Bungaloo
ok back at it again today.
so after checking continuity and voltage, i found several things wrong.
first:
harness at the fuel pump was pretty dirty. cleaned it up and got better voltage.
Second:
one of the main harness connectors came undone (probably when i was rewiring the ecu wires)
Third:
there was a diode installed on the lead for the fuel pump relay. i removed the diode and that's when the crazy began.
now, with the diode removed, the fuel pump kicks on! BUT it stays on. always. turn the key off and the fuel pump stays on. put it in "on" and the fan kicks in, the fuel pump kicks in, then after a few seconds it turns off, only to turn back on and stay on.
those with MS, do you have a diode installed in line with the fuel pump relay?

If there is something I know about MegaSquirts is that there is no standards. So the best person to answer questions is the one who build it.
