2001 Hyundai tiburon drives in Low only
2001 automatic transmission will not shift. Only drives in low. Already replaced the transmission speed sensor. Transmission fluid is clean. 80K miles.

Is this a new-to-you car, or is it a new problem?
If you bought the car like this, you may be the victim of a bamboozle and the transaxle is possibly junk. Just because the oil is clean doesn't mean it was clean when they took the trade. In fact, since these burn their oil brown in <15000 miles, If it is RED and clean, that is *almost* a red flag unless the previous owner really kept up with required maintenance.
If it's a problem that started in 4th gear and you lost them progressively until now you only have 1st, the transaxle is possibly junk. If the proper oil is not used and maintained, the clutches inside turn to goo and 4th typically is first to go.

Can you shift into drive or reverse no problem? Or is it difficult to even get into drive? When you put it into drive, start driving, it wont shift at all and will stay in 1st or 2nd? 80K is pretty low mileage for a 2001. Is that all original, or is it a different tranny that was put in, that has 80K on it?
