Trying to hit 8.8 seconds in the 1/8 mile!
Trying to hit 8.8's in the 1/8 mile, The car is a 2002 accent with 2.0 swap (Beta I) and Accent Transmission. The engine is stock for now, The only thing it haves is a Yellow pressure plate and bronze clutch. Incoming mods include FBO, 93 octane tune and 4.29 gears with a 6 satellite Diferencial. You guys think is possible? The car weights 2250 with me.
What Number does Beta's I with Bolts on and tune put @ wheels ??

Are you running a stand alone or piggy back engine management because there is no tune available that I know of, for a beta or alpha ECU. So when you say a 93 tune, can you elaborate? I didn't know you could get new gears for the alpha transmission too.
An 8.8 in the 1/8 is around high 13's to low 14's in the 1/4. Not happening unfortunately unless you had some serious power, like nitrous or a turbo.

If you want to keep it n/a, you may think about adding a haltech, raising the rpm to 7500, and running e85 on an aggressive tune. Also, look into cams.

I will be Running a Haltech Elite 1500. My plan is going turbo but I want to see how well the car performs NA. Depending how the Powerband looks the RPM will be risen. I will be tuning the car with 93 octane, I don't think 160whp is impossible. I already ordered the 4.294 Final Gear and some 3.65's .
Trans Gears
FD:4.294
1st: 3.65
2nd:2.05
3rd:1.37
4th:0.97
5th: 0.78
Those 4.294 FD will help a lot,

The complete car with bolts on and ECU isn't even close to $1,900
I posted in this forum looking for answers, I'm not experienced with 4cyl I've always been a v8 guy. If I can't make this work, I will start building a Evo.
Already have 2 cars hitting 8 seconds in the 1/4 mile and Building a 2002 z06 for the Half mile.

cool story. your sh*t is still slow.
meanwhile the hyundai wagon (which i no longer own) was still faster than anything you own and i literally had $400 in parts in it that i removed when i sold the car and can still install on other vehicles.
NA parts on a 4 cyl is a waste of money.
this is coming from someone who had a sh*t ton of them and has been a member of the hyundai scene longer than blitz has been allowed to drive.
I had a custom intake manifold, header, 2.5" exhaust, fidanza flywheel, act clutch, injen intake, 1.8 cams, under drive pulleys, throttle body.....15 sec quarter mile car.
hyundai wagon with a $375 nitrous kit? 14 second car.
save yourself some money and aggravation and avoid NA mods unless it can be used for something else down the road.
