It's mid winter, but I want to start working on my car. I don't want to make the same mistake again and work on the car during the summer.



I want to do atleast 3 trackdays this year. I'm willing to spend lot of time and money so the car will be at optimal condition.



The engine is running great. Bought 17 inch 7.5J rims so I can put on some nice rubber. Will buy some sticky semi slicks, but still not sure if 225/45/17 will fit or should I use 215/40/17 ?! The old ceramic clutch is dead and new one is on it's way. I have Apex yellow springs installed and will be on the hunt for some good shocks.



Other than that the main thing that I want to work on is the aerodynamics of the car. I have F2 Evo front bumper and rear spoiler. I've been reading a lot about front splitters and rear diffusers and I will be building the splitter first and then the diffuser. Was thinking to use carbon fiber, but found out that with alumalite I can do it and it won't be much heavier. I can't buy alumalite here , but we have the same thing just some other brands. It is 6mm thick and is perfect for the job.



What do you guys think ?!



I will strip the car, but only for track days, cause it makes HUUUGE difference when I drive it daily. The 2.5 inch exhaust is loud as f*ck.



Any ideas how I can make the car perform better? Please don't start with all the turbo bullshit

That's the only private track here in Bulgaria. 2048m with 580m straight. I want to go there , cause I can race all the guys that I know and compare my lap times with them.



There is a better option and it is even a lot closer to my city even though it is in Romania. The one that is in Bulgaria is around 350km from where I live and this one is 70-80km It is 4129m with 950m straight

i re-drilled my front sway bar on both sides so the droplinks fix closer to the pivot point making it stiffer, that along with the adjustable rear bar really improved the handling. Even when it was still on the old saggy shocks it really firmed up the way the car cornered.

What do you have for performance other than the exhaust?

Coilovers would make the most difference. An adjustable rear sway bar would be second on the list.



I see you have new springs and may want to avoid switching out for coilovers. If you're set on springs you might consider the Koni yellow strut inserts. Install is kind of a pain compared to normal strut replacements but unless there's a product I'm unfamiliar with these will probably be the best strut option for the RD.

187sks, you're right brother I don't want to switch to coilovers atleast for now I heard very good things about these yellow Konis. I'm sure suspension , tires and brakes are at the top of the list. Remember when I bought Toyo R1r semi slicks for the first time ... you can't recognize your car



I don't think I will have enough money and time to work on the motor this year. 1.8 pistons and the better head are next. As of right now the car pulls pretty good. I don't expect it to run as some boosted Tib, but the response is sick. Most important it's fun to drive
