So I became a Warrant Officer
For the non-military types - the rank is in between enlisted and officers as far as who outranks who. They are the specialized in a specific field and are suppose to be subject matter experts. Pending my tech school, but my area is human resources (420A for military types). Sort of going back to a bit different basic training after being in for 16 years wasn't fun. Currently sitting with an aching back. I held the enlisted rank of SFC/E7 for more than two years so I get my next promotion as soon as I finish my tech school. So that is nice.

On the open doors - yep. It's really hard to promote past where I am in the field I am as enlisted.
On the going to head - hoping that won't happen. I will walk on the grass now.. but other than that - not much changing
I heard they might for drone pilots? WO in the AF, but that is rumor mill stuff.
