Stock manifolds
I was just woundering if it were at all possible to weld a 14b or b16g turbo flange on my stock manifold. I belive it would save a lot on money and would really be convienent so that I didnt have to buy a different mani.

Possible? Yes. Recommended? No. Stock manifolds are cast iron and welding a metal flange to cast iron is very difficult to do right. Sooner or later it will crack. Also where the manifold will place the turbocharger is not ideal and way too close to the Alternator as well as it will be difficult to fab up a good oil drain.

^ You mean the Gen Coupe's 2.0 manifold? That would be interesting if it did
Factory
Aftermarket
There's the Veloster Turbo stuff too

It has the wrong bolt pattern. The stock GC 2.0t manifold looks like it would hit the passenger side of the engine bay anyways. For the Sonata/Optima turbofold it's on the back side of the engine so it would be oriented poorly, as in inside the front bumper.

So MUCH easier to just buy a used EVO 8-9 Manifold, Turbo, and downpipe. It's as close to bolt on you can get that ticks the magical 3 qualities of Cheap, Reliable and Fast!! lol

I am driving on stock exhaust manifold and welded T3 flange for 3 years now without any problems. I had few aftermarket manifolds and they all cracked or deformed especially after track day’s.
I am pushing 1,2bar boost…
This is how it looks like… (this is from my Beta Accent but the same thing I did on my DD Coupe)
Under the hood

Sorry for asking what may be an obvious question, but what manifold is that? Is it a stock Evo manifold or a Hyundai manifold with a flange welded on?
