When driving in a group with GoPros, don't give one to the cops

At some point, the cops took a GoPro from one of the cars in this group.
My guess: I'm betting they reviewed the footage on it, saw the cars doing stupid sh!t, and then showed that to a judge.
A minor accident with a bicyclist. A police officer who allegedly lost his memory. Seventeen cars, mostly sports cars including exotics like a couple of Lamborghinis and a Nissan GT-R, impounded for more than 100 days with no explanation given to their owners. It’s a deeply baffling story unfolding in the small town of Orange, California, and so far no one has answers.

The cars were returned (after over 100 days in impound). Judge ordered 3 returned then ordered the rest returned later that day. Bicyclist admitted fault at the scene. Turns out his dad was a detective. You can figure out the rest.
