The RD1 Tiburon Dash Color
My 99 Tib FX has a brown-ish dash surround. I'm seeing quite a few 1st gens with black and some with brown. The brown looks like sh*t and I hope I get a chance to do a swap. But, I was just curious as to why some are brown and some were black? Was there some transition in 99, or was there an option through all the years of the RD1? What year and color is your RD1 dash?

mine's 2000 and all black.
Over here the rd2's came as std with that colour surround, door cards were also 2-tone. All the rd1's i've seen have been all black regardless of year

It's easy enough to remove and paint. Could always do that, since that was a common thing to do with most RD owners. Plus, you can swap out the gauges for some white faced ones if you do remove the dash, or find some F2 gauges for it.

I'm looking at evo gauges. But, I don't want to paint it because it'll look painted. lol I'd rather swap out the dash.

What the.... Never seen that before.
Swap it out. It's a sinch.
I have the gauge faces but all my stuff was moved/lost while I've been abroad. My badges, everything!
