Default Window Problems?

Has anyone heard of Elantra windows breaking apart when being rolled up? Mine did it.. half way up and it sounded like it exploded, but the glass you can see outside of the door is intact. I had to lift it by hand and wedge something in the side to get it to stay closed until I get to the dealer. Can't find anything on a google search for others angry about that. No sounds of binding or stress... just PPsaihasisdi1 crackel crackel!#@#!!@1

No but my 4 doors have had 5 regulator failures.

Glass is f*cky stuff. It could have had a chip somewhere you didn't see, and that would be enough to make it break all of a sudden.

So the cause of the glass breakage is a faulty window regulator?

No glass breaks because it's glass and it does that sometimes. The regulators break because of bad materials engineering.

They refused to look at it today to see what happened. It will go back Friday. If it was chipped; it was chipped below the door. Possible it was flawed from the start and that just happened to be the right amount of force to set it off. I am amazed it didn't destroy the entire pane.. just something I can't see.
