Default 1.8l cam and pistons in 2.0l

If i put 1.8l cams and pistons in my 2.0l engine would the valves hit when the piston comes up?

Nope. The 1.8/2.0 cams are the same minus the intake. And if you put 1.8 pistons on 2.0 rods, the compression increases roughly to 11:1.

To rephrase: the exhaust cams are the same, and the intake cams can be swapped with no problem. I have yet to see a dyno before/after, but the 1.8L cam has a slightly higher lift and longer duration, so there should be mild gains using that part.

The 1.8L pistons have a higher crown, and can be used on 2.0L rods for increased compression.
