Default Weird problem with headlights

I have silvania superstar bulbs in my headlights (havent made the switch to HID's yet) and one of them is really dim when I turn my headlights on. They are like that for about 5-7 minutes and then get bright and match the other headlight and look fine. I checked my connections and everything looks ok. Is this a sign that the bulb is about to die or could it be something else? Thanks.

There's not much else it could be.

Unless it's not getting the correct voltage for some reason, but that would be predicated by other issues I would think. Swap the bulbs and see if it follows the socket or the bulb.

But my money is on the bulb.

Swap bulbs from one side to the other to check.

I've had similar problems with a bad ground before. Usually it's been less dramatic, but if it happens to me and it's not just a bad bulb I relay the headlights. On older cars at least you get a big bump in brightness just from feeding them proper voltage.

It was the bulb. Switched it out with a new one and everything is a-ok
