China builds glass bottom pedestrian bridge
http://www.cnn.com/2015/09/27/travel...hai/index.html
"Each of the glass panes is 24 millimeters thick and 25 times stronger than normal glass. "
24mm = 2.4cm = 1"
unlike the glass observation post at the Grand Canyon, this bridge doesn't seem to be monitored.
there will be some crazy that will take a hammer or pick ax to it.
and I'm guessing it wont be long b4 someone scratches/carves graffiti on the glass.

I'm sure we already thought about, and could have, built a bridge like this when they were designing the platform at the Grand Canyon. However, our parks like to preserve the beauty of the canyons rather than span things across it. I'm sure there was even debate about the simple platform.

Only the first 3 layers shattered so it was still safe to traverse. But this just from the impact from a meta mug?
This does not speak well for the overall build quality. #chinaPERIOD
