I'm hearing conflicting reports, but it looks like this guy had an existing record and should not have been in possession of the firearm.

I wonder if anyone has clarification on that.

A judge had ordered him committed some years ago. It's too bad crazies and criminals don't have more regard for our gun laws.

Wait, you mean if someone is intent on murder, they won't be foiled by paperwork to buy a gun? That's unpossible!

Well more to the point, it's proof again that firearms laws do not prevent gun violence. I heard a lot of BS blaming the weapon more than the shooter, but the fact is this suck f*ck should not have been in possession of the weapon. If it hadn't been a gun he could have used a car and killed quite a few more. But people forget that and seek the easy scapegoat.
