Default Talk to me about Gaming Mice

so I recently built myself a new badass pc to replace the old busted one i had. started gettin into pc gaming more and quickly realized the old $9 mouse isnt gonna cut it.

need to replace it with somethin a lil higher quality.

been lookin at the corsair m65, logitech g700, or possibly a R.A.T. 5

leaning toward the g700 cuz of its ability to go wireless if needed. which is nice at times

any others i should be lookin at? gonna start with the mouse first then work on gettin a better keyboard.

I like the logi gaming mice because I like the scroll wheels ability to left and right click. They don't seem to last very long.

My friend has the R.A.T. 5, I've used it enough to say i don't like it, the way it feels in the hand is just wrong because the odd shape(s) and its overly sensitive (partially his fault by not changing the settings) but he has to flip the mouse over when watching a video or anything full screen otherwise the cursor moves around on its own.

I've never used the Corsair so can't weigh in there.

I'm a Huge fan of Logitech products, I have the Anywhere MX, MX Air, and Performance MX mice. Plus I've bought 2 Illuminated Wired keyboards.

For gaming I'd recommend the Performance MX. It curves to fit my hand perfectly, has an adjustable scroll wheel (intermediate/full scroll) and has a 4 programmable buttons for the thumb.

I Don't game much anymore but when I did the MX was my favorite. The G700 and it look very similar with the G700 having added buttons plus a few other options I'm sure. looking around the MX is cheaper $50 (amazon) the G700 is $90 (newegg)

*Edit*

All 3 of my Mice are going strong after 5 going on 6 years of use.

Logitech, but Get the MX Performance. It can go wireless as well. A good keyboard is the place for extra macro buttons.

same price on amazon as the mx performance

pretty sure im gonna stick with logitech. its all ive EVER ran and have had superb luck with them.

also, im tossing the m502s into the mix. just cuz.

i should probably head to a place that sells mice and see how they fit in my hand....

im a claw type of guy. which means i accidentally hit side buttons easily if they arent placed right.

I prefer fast cars that look like Farraris over fast cars that look like Pintos with a blown V8. Just sayin'.

I decided against that mouse faith, its button positioning seems wrong. When you go to pick it up or reposition your hand, you're probly going to hit a few of them.
