I know wheel bearings have always been a problem for Hyundai and people have to replace them often. I'm at 58K miles and havent had to replace mine yet. Wondering how long they will last and if Hyundai improved on their design.

I have one growling a little. At 200k miles. Their wheel bearings are ok don't sweat it. I think a lot of the people who have problems with frequent wheel bearing replacement either have damage or a tolerance stack error in the knuckle/spindle or they aren't preloading their bearings properly.

My tiburon bearings lasted a whopping 35k. Got replaced by hyundai. Went out again at 64k! LOL! You should feel good you made it to 58k! Use Timkin, they are the ish.

Yes, but after being driven off the road by an Escalade hitting that tire hard enough to destroy the rubber and then having a nissan titan slam into the back of it and spin it over a curb hitting that same wheel. Even then it was a bit of vibration at odd times and a noise. You could not get it to move around by yanking on the wheel with it off the ground.

i changed both front at around when i did the non-captive swap, i do mostly highway driving which keeps the lube in the bearing race's from cooking themselves.



70k miles since i installed them, no issues.



excessive heat from brakes, engine and exhaust and stop and go traffic and excessive idling when the a/c on can wreck havoc on the car's suspension and drivetrain components.
