Default Making headlights permanently clear

I know there are a lot of products out and home remedies to make your headlights clear if they are hazing up but most of them are just band aids. The hazing will come back after some time. So what can you do to make them clear permanent or is there nothing you can do except buy new ones?

I go through all of the regular steps to fix them and then spray them with clearcoat. I then wet sand and buff them. This is really the only permanent fix.

You know what else works great? Allowing cars in your country to use glass headlights vs. plastic that's guaranteed to fade. Thanks DOT!

I just cleared a set for my Tib and used a product that is basically spray on Invisishield. It's sold by a local supplier and sadly he won't sell it outside of his clear kit. IIRC 3M now makes one that's as aerosol too. Shy of that, clear coat like was previously said. That's likely the easiest anyway.
