Default Electric ratchets and impact guns

I dont really have the room now for a large air compressor so I think if I go the electric route, that should be fine. Problem is I have found the cheap $25 electric impact guns and ratchets and the $200 ones. I would like to stay cheap but I want something that wont fall apart the fist time I use it. Any suggestions?

Don't bother with the electric impacts unless you're going to spend money on quality. You can kind of get away with crap air impacts, but electric impacts that are below triple digits are crap.

Yep. My electric 3/8" impact was almost $500 and my 1/4" ratchet, $300.

i8 I like your style! My favorite saying, besides the Snap-on truck's here, is, "Buy once, Cry once"

Yep. I've never had a problem exchanging busted tools. Once you spend a bit with these guys, your business becomes too valuable to lose. Plus, it's nice not having to bring my busted tools to the store or ship them somewhere.

I will continue to support Dewalt products in this category, good quality and affordable. And the MAC guy sells them so ditto ^^
