I watched that video quite some time ago, but can't remember (without re-watching) if they put salt in the water. If not, do that. It'll make the ice colder and last longer.

It'll be colder, but will melt faster. That's why they put salt on icy roads.



The guy in the video got the idea at Home Depot (where he bought the bucket). They just started selling something like this. It's a fan with a hose that you snap on to any 5 gallon bucket. If you wanna save a few bucks, make your own. If you don't like or fear power tools, you can buy one.

It's called a swamp cooler. There are quite a few versions. Easiest way to make one of these is with a styrofoam cooler. People have been doing this for a very long time. Definitely not a new idea, but still pretty neat.

Similar to a swamp cooler. A swamp cooler actually adds humidity. This shouldn't if done like in the video.

I know a guy who uses frozen water bottles at little league games in his cooler. Used a 12 battery on a computer fan so it can be on the bleachers/in the dugout. They work until the cold stuff gets warm.
