Default Tuner/programmer options?

Got an 03 gt with full CAI and straight pipes out the back at the moment, but soon to add mufflers. In the market for a tuner or programmer that is actually worth the money and my time of caring. Any options??

depends on what you would like to accomplish.



if you plan on goin turbo thats one thing, stickin with na don't bother

I was just looking up some nitrous and apexi neo tuning stuff last night at work. From what I read is that the 03s have a return fuel system and run pretty rich, the apexi neo can tune the car. Don't know how accurate the rich info is and don't know if tuning with the apexi neo to get the most out of the afr is worth it on a NA car...

Waste of money for sure on N/A mods. If you go with forced induction, then there are some stand alone units available. They will involve quite a bit of tuning knowledge and not something you can do yourself in your back yard if you have no experience. The ECU is locked from what I remember, so it's not like you can reprogram it or get a different tuned ECU. And stay away from those garbage tuning chips or resistors on ebay. They will actually hurt your car more than anything.

Well then there is stuff like this fiebruz/ngm re-flashes requires bolts on to get peak performance and there is one reflash that requires a bunch of ngm part like intake manifold, cam, ect.

At the moment, sticking with na. But soon to bore to a 3.0 and go twin turbo, so I'm looking for something that will work now and after the major stuff

nothing worth it now really



youll spend hundreds of dollars, tons of time, and get very little gain now(id be surprised if you pull a 10hp increase)



if you plan on turboing, piece it all together then purchase it. just in case you (like so many before you) give up on the project

Any suggestions for small, cheap changes or adjustments for any gains? Small gains add up, so anything will help, just looking for the most power I can get out of it until the money is right for turbos and bore out.

i don't understand why you see the need to twin turbo a 4 cylinder. I'm sure your not trying to brake any records or go 8s in your tib.

one turbo is just fine for power. I can only imagine how much that would cast to make work. better have a great fab guy on your side.

Because it's not a 4 cyl. It's a 03 tib gt. That's a v6
