This car has been out now for 4 years (10, 11, 12, 13) and there still isnt an affordable or mainstream supercharger kit available. Why is that? Is it the tuning thats hard to figure out or can no one make a kit that gives decent results without it charging an arm and a leg?

 

Because the I4 is capable of more power, and people who wanted more power know it before they buy the car?

 

Anything is possible if you have the $$$$$. If there is no demand for a certain part/item companies won't bother making it. Why spend tens of thousands $$$$+ on R&D to sell a handful of parts.

 

With the Beta vs. Delta argument that was true, but is that really still true with the Genesis. Especially when a stock twin turbo V6 powered GC is potentially on the horizon?

 

i might just be talkin out of my ass as i havent been around too many v6 gen coupes, but maybe hood clearance is the problem? i saw they had to cut a hole in the hood for the LSx swapped gen coupe, might be a similar issue with the stock motor

 

I reckon stocker is on the money. By the time you buy a V6 genesis, then wreck the warranty with a supercharger kit, you coulda had an actually fast car with warranty.

 

Price is one of the big issues. I think I saw a couple of S/C kits that were upwards of 8 grand. No one in their right mind will pay that much for 75-100 HP, when you can put on every single bolt on plus nitrous, and be way over that HP %, for less than half of that cost.
