Im gonna detail my engine with engine brite and then spray silicone lube on the hoses and plastic so its shiny. Will the engine brite or silicone give off any type of bad smell when driving after it dries? What about smoke?

 

I don't know about those brands in particular, but I degrease my engine first, then I rinse it and let it dry. Once it's done, I hit the plastics with tire shine as it's super cheap and effective.
