Default How often should you clean your throttle body?

Just started to think at the fact that my car is getting old and the tb has never once ever been cleaned. Is it a good idea to remove it and make sure there isnt any gunk in there? What about the intake manifold?

You dont need to remove it to clean it just spray some throttle body cleaner on a rag and wipe it out and open the throttle plate and make sure you wipe around where it seats. Would pay tho check if it is dirty every time you service it if it is an old engine. If you are capable of removing the intake manifold, and the throttle body was really dirty, then i would remove it and clean it out to but don't bother if the throttle body is clean.
