Default Beta2 CVVT block vs. non

Closed on the house and since the Tib is down for transmission (man swap) and entire front suspension I might as well go all in and tackle the motor finally.

I want to keep the current B1 head after all of that work, so I was pondering a B2 short block swap and cant seem to find the answer to my question on webtech.

In the CVVT motors, do they still use the same block and crack as the earlier Beta2?

Only reason I ask is because finding a non CVVT locally is turning out to be much harder, where the CVVT shorts come 2-300 all day.

Same-enough to use, I seem to recall. Sensors vary. Also something about an oil restrictor in the feed to the head.

The sensors I'd have to play with anyway swapping up to the Beta2.

Thx, looks like I know what I'm getting for my birthday!
