So anyway, just changed the oil and checked all the fluids at a local spot, everything was great. No leaks or anything of the sort.

Was feeling great about the day so I pulled into a station to put gas in my car. Keep in mind it's one of those stations without an attendant,
and drove away. Got no more then 1/2 a mile away and started losing the power that she had and the check engine light came on.
She started to sputter and rumble and shake like a crackhead.BTW 80.9 cents per litre.

I was pissed to say the least so I called the gas company up to threaten a lawsuit if it damaged my car cause, well, she's my pride and joy.

Got the answering service.

Anyway, does anyone know if the check engine light is gonna go off after I burn this tank off or do I have to take it into a hyundai dealer/mechanic to get them to reset it?

is the station the same one you fill up all the time at?

if so, i can see a reason to b**** if you can prove it is fuel related.

if not the same place you always buy from, let it go.

You can just take out the ECU fuse (engine bay fusebox) for a little while to reset the CEL
I would get that code read though, maybe it was just a coincidence and not the gas

I've used them before and no problems before but now my engine might be f**ked because of this watered down s**t.

I plan to get it checked but thanks. But I really do think it was the watered down fuel.

Car was running flawlessly until the new gas started to be consumed.

best way to be sure it was the gas is get the code read first...

im not trying to be negative, how do you know that the gas is water down, you drop you gas tank? or something down that line...

you could be misfiring...

get code read first before doing anything in my opinion

I also agree on getting the code read. I had a spark plug wire fail on me once out of the blue and let me tell you, our cars do not like only running on 3.

Yeah, it could be water in the spark plugs or something else.

Of course if you think its bad gas then heading to the store and getting a can of dry gas or whatever you prefer that is made to help water in gas.
