im looking into a 98 tiburon 5speed. the power of the auto dont seem to be enough for me and the roads in sf. darn hills and stuff seem to be sucking the power out of the car so yea.

theres a silver one with 174k miles and 70k on a new motor thats in there. dude selling for 3g's and it got new tranny and clutch.

so i might hop on that and sell mines. i have a feeling the auto is not gonna do me much so yea.

what u guys think?

I agree about the hills in SF mang. I'd just do a auto/manual swap.

i would do the swap but i wouldnt kno where to start. I dont really have a space to do all that and i barely have enough tools and it just seem complicated to do it. And if i F-up what am i gonna do i dont have much money to deal with someone doing so yea.

im hoping i am able to get more than 3 g's so i can spend it on my car or wateva.

Maybe buy the manual then swap all the parts over. Then have yours stock and sell it then.

yea, that would be koo, but then i dont have the space to do it.

here is the link of the car i was lookin at

http://sfbay.craigslist.org/sby/car/208724609.html

he said he swapped the engine at 145k and the engine had 30k so it has around 70k new tranny and clutch.

Bro, you live in a city that has DIY shops and such. Find one, or make a good friend that's got tools and a garage.

Serious, that's the route I would take.

Swapping to a different tib and swapping the parts would work too.

Whatever way you can do it mang.

Did you check Kelly Blue Book for pricing?

man... that silver one im lookin at is iffy.. i like it and all but the car has 176k miles. thats pretty crucial. resale value would be crap if i tried sellin it in the future.

ahhhhhh.. i dont know...
