Welcome to HYUNDAI AFTERMARKET.org!

Featured Girl: September 2009 - Stacy

Residence: Lacey, WA
Occupation: Jack of All Trades, but honestly a receptionist/poster
Ethnicity: Can't you tell? (I'm white)
Hair Color: Brown
Eye Color: Blue/grey but change colors
Height: Just under 5'2
Age: 29
Relationship status: Happily married!
Vehicle: 2005 Hyundai Tiburon is my daily, & occasionally 2003 Hyundai Accent. We also have a 1987 Pontiac Fiero, 1998 Pontiac Firebird Formula, and 1987 Ford Bronco.

What kind of music do you listen to?
Mostly to top 40 hits and rap, but I also listen to a little bit of everything. Just no opera or classical.

What would be your dream job?
To win the lotto and be able to build hot rods from the ground up like Boyd Coddington.

What's your dream car?
I have a couple. I really want to have a Boydster and a Lambo. Oh, I also want a Bentley! (Laughing)

What's the dumbest thing anyone has ever asked you?
Hmmmm... What kind of Honda is that?? What kind of Mustang is that?? Both were referring to the Tib!

Where do you see yourself in the future?
I would have to say right where I am. I am happy with my life.

What are some of your hobbiest and interests?
I like to work on cars and be in the garage with hubby and the boys, but also like to take road trips to unknown places. I have a dream to build my very own hot rod. I like to have a good time no matter what situation I am in.

What are some of your turn ons?
My husband, strippers, Money, power, and cars! (Laughing)

What about turn offs?
Lack of money, power and cars! (Laughing) Oh guys with bad BO, and who pretend that they are something they aren't.

How did you first get involved in the Hyundai scene?
It's actually kind of a funny story. We were looking to buy a new car for me and I wanted one that was brand new and not used. Hubby (187sks on the forum) convinced me that we needed to test drive a Hyundai Accent. I threw a fit because I didn't want a crap car, but we went anyway. I fell in love and had to have one. I wanted the GT package because it looked nicer than just a regular one. Then I saw a Tib and wanted one of them for a long time and we got a smoking deal on ours. We started to hang out with more and more Hyundai people and added a few Kia and Scion guys as well.

Is it difficult and if so, how do you handle being in a male dominated sport?
I am just like one of the guys so its easy for me to fit in. I can hold a conversation about cars no prob. I just can't talk stats because I can never remember and get things mixed up.

What percentage of Import models do you think actually know how to tune cars?
Very few. They mostly want to have the guys look at them and pay attention to them. They are all about being an attention whore. (laughing)

Should some of the big car shows (HIN, NOPI, etc) have a Female Tuner class?
I think that if you are going to play with the big dawgs you should be able to hold your own and there shouldn't be a special class. There shouldn't be any special treatment. With as little females who actually turn out it wouldn't be fair to all the guys.

Any final thoughts, comments, or thanks?
Thanks to Hyundai Aftermarket.org and extra pecial thanks to my husband for putting up with me! Life is too short to worry about tomorrow, live life for today!
